The Opportunity
We are seeking an APS4/5 Support Officer for general assistance to the Section's legal and governance officers.
The Role
The role’s responsibilities will include:
• Preparing and updating FOI quarterly stats
• Gathering, analysing and preparing FOI statistics for internal papers and reports
• Maintaining appropriate records and deadlines independently
• Assisting with and drafting the preparation of FOI procedural guidelines
• Liaising with WHS manager and other internal business areas to collate relevant information in relation to claims
• Conducting research and investigations in relation to claims
• Reporting and recording incidents/claims on Comcover portal
• Attending Comcover community practice on a regular basis
• Undertaking procedural and administrative support for contract management including preparing and filing minute, work order, procurement plan and purchase order etc
• Undertaking procedural and administrative support for accounting management including managing monthly invoices
• Assisting with legal research
• Assisting in development of policies and procedures, including in relation to privacy, public interest disclosure, intellectual property, and FOI
• Assisting in preparation of corporate documents such as the Corporate Plan and Annual Report, Fraud Control Plan and Risk Management Plan, and preparation of documents for agency governance meetings such as Authority and Audit Committee
• Assisting in the preparation of relevant information for the Section’s hub pages development
Your Background and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous FOI experience and contract experience within a government context
Salary / Rate
Hourly rate negotiable
