15 month contract
The engineer will be supporting the T&E Manager in the conduct of a PT&E activity being conducted in Darwin, Robertson Barracks, pd 13 Jun-01 July. This activity will include a demonstration of Live instrumentation from THREE vendors who will be providing organic communications capabilities. We are needing to gather information on the networks used to assess potential viability for future applications.
Essential travel to Darwin between 13Jun – 01Jul. Some preliminary (short duration) travel to Defence locations across Australia may also be required.

The Role
The role’s responsibilities will include:
Supporting development of data capture plan and align activities which will enable this support.
Gather data on vendor communication capability, in particular ascertain bandwidth, latency and ability for future integration of other Army capabilities
Capabilities will include 4G LTE, UHF and WIFI based comms. 4G LTE and WIFI will be primary area of info collection
Supporting report drafting with provision of the data from the demonstration – due end Jul
Future tasks – full network scan across all ADF Bde locations and close training areas to identify enhancements needed in support of Home Station Training, with that need informed by the demo in Jun 22.

The ideal contractor will have demonstrated experience in:
Specialist Engineering ‐ Communications Network Engineering
