Level 2 - Practitioner

12 month contract

The successful candidate will be reporting to position of Operations Officer to support the everyday logistical requirements of the business area.

This position will be responsible for management of a unit equipment Supply Customer Account (SCA) and arranging movements of equipment inclusive of Safehand processes for domestic and international movements. The candidate must understand Agile project management methodology as well as ADF technical regulatory requirements and will be an integral and full time member of team.

This position requires the individual to work on site at HMAS Harman, ACT during the units working hours (0800 – 1700) but alternate working hours are negotiable.

Daily rate negotiable

Contract Extensions

2 x 12 month extension options

Security Requirements

NV1 as a minimum, NV2 preferred.

The Role

The role’s responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake and manage the demand, receipt, storage, maintenance, issue, stocktaking and disposal of equipment on the SCA

  • Support MILIS Procurement activities

  • Support Direct Unit Funded Purchasing activities
    Support Safehand movement of equipment as required

  • Conduct liaison with external logistics agencies as required

  • Conduct equipment movements via MILIS and other Defence Logistic Information Systems (including processing of MILIS Transactions)

  • Conduct SCA management activities including auditing, reporting, storage and disposals

  • Provide reporting to organisational leadership through generation of SCA equipment health reports

  • Maintain and manage storage areas

  • Prepare documentation required for disposal or return of serviceable goods

Your Background & Experience

Candidates are to have the following - 

  • Civilian Drivers Licence

  • Prior training and experience using Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) and other Defence Logistics Information Systems

  • Dangerous Good Packing and Acceptance qualification

  • Forklift Licence (desirable)
